EECLECTIC \u2013 Digital Publishing for Visual Culture<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

EECLECTIC is a publishing project for digital publications in the field of visual culture in Berlin. Since 2018, we are creating e-books that intertwine art, photography, city, politics, society, feminism and film. Artistic narratives and practices of artistic research are at the heart of our publications. They reflect our publishing interest in a differentiated perception and mediation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together with authors, artists and editors, we develop e-books that explore the media potential of digital publishing. Our goal is to create publications that are as clear and relevant as their content. We see the rapid and global digital dissemination of our e-books as an additional opportunity to make pressing issues more public and to activate diverse discourses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We support Verlage gegen Rechts<\/a> (publishers against the right) and stand together for a vigilant, diverse and respectful publishing industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a publisher, lecturer and art director, Janine Sack is interested in the different media possibilities of presenting and contextualising the respective topics. Although she has made it her mission at EECLECTIC to realise good design for e-books as well, she sometimes publishes selected artists’ books with the imprint A BOOK EDITION. She is part of the publishing network Drucken Heften Laden, which publishes the quarterly newsletter Paper News<\/a> in addition to joint participation in trade fairs and a series of events. She is part of the coordination committee of neue Gesellschaft f\u00fcr bildende Kunst (New Society for Visual Art). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sofia works in both the media and art spheres. Through her work as an editor, journalist, photography student at the Ostkreuzschule, and in her press work in the arts and culture sector, Sofia is constantly exploring new forms of storytelling, representation, and communication of social issues, especially in the digital space.
