Anujah Fernando

Anujah Fernando works as a cultural scientist, filmmaker and curator. In research-based exhibitions and texts as well as in documentary film projects, she deals with issues of memory politics surrounding migration and colonialism. She is particularly interested in the linguistic and cultural negotiation processes between first and second generation migrants in the field of tension with social discourse. At the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg (FHXB) Museum, she co-curated the exhibition Trotz Allem: Migration in die Kolonialmetropole Berlin (2022/2023). At Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) she was involved in the coordination of projects critical of racism and technology (2018, 2019, 2021).
