Jasmin Eding
Jasmin Eding has been active in the Black movement for over 30 years and is co-founder of ADEFRA e.V. (Black Women in Germany). As co-author of the book Kinder der Befreiung (ed. Marion Kraft, Münster, Unrast Verlag, 2016), she wrote about the transatlantic experiences and perspectives of Black Germans of the post-war generation and thus contributed to the literature on the diverse history of Black Germans. ADEFRAroots is a forum by and for Black women that fights against racism and other forms of discrimination. She describes herself as an anti-racist feminist lesbian grassroots activist. A particular concern of hers is the balance of grassroots and academic work in the Black community, in the sense of inclusion.
