Alexis Hyman Wolff

Alexis Hyman Wolff (b. 1982, Los Angeles) is a Berlin-based artist-curator working toward the integration of artistic, social and scholarly practices in museums. From 2015-17, she was engaged within the community of Kleinmachnow, laying the groundwork for an experimental local history museum. She received her M.A. in Artistic Museum Studies at the Institute for Art in Context, University of the Arts Berlin (2015). Other exhibition projects include: Beyond Objects in Bernau bei Berlin (2014) and On Time in the Museum der Dinge,Berlin (2013). Much of her experience in creative museum work has been gained at the Museum of Jurassic Technology, Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Museum of American Art, Berlin. She has been in residence at the Roger Brown Study Collection of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, Bordeaux in cooperation with the Bordeaux Musée d’Histoire Naturelle.
