Ulrike Gerhardt

Ulrike Gerhardt (PhD) is an art and cultural studies scholar and curator whose work focuses, among other things, on artistic research into dis/abled ecologies, postsocialisms and (non-)human vulnerabilities, as well as approaches to inclusive, historically reflective, and post-digital cultural education. Together with Suza Husse, she has been co-director of the video art platform D’EST since 2016 and is committed to placing the linked video works in ever-changing contexts. Most recently, she published the workbook From Co-Construction to Co-Creation (ed. with Michaela Kaiser and Marion Seiler, kopaed, 2026) as well as the monograph Easternfuturist Memory (De Gruyter Brill, 2024). Since the summer term of 2026, she has been appointed to the Administrative Professorship in Art Education and Inclusion at the Braunschweig University of Art. www.ulegerhardt.de
