D’EST
D’EST is a nomadic platform and online archive for video art, experimental and documentary film that maps artistic forms of memory at the intersection of postsocialist, queer-feminist and decolonial narratives and imaginaries. It is run since 2016 by district*school without center in collaboration with international curators, artists, cultural workers, researchers and activists. D’EST cycle #1, Former “East”, Former “West” (2016–2022), explored post-socialism through feminist and transterritorial perspectives, opening up transnational ways of thinking across former East–West divisions. D’EST cycle #2, Postsocialism as a Method: Anti-Geographies of Collective Desires (since 2023), explores the legacies of global and postmigrant socialisms inspired by a claim for plural socialist pasts. https://d-est.com/
