POSTOST
POSTOST gathers signals from the East. Transmissions from contaminated landscapes, full of wounds and wonders, of unheard-of existences, full of dreams and transitions, ruptures, remnants, unrest. POSTOST is a meandering series of ephemera, conversations, gestures, gatherings, images, texts, and resonances that materialize in publications.
POSTOST embodies sticky temporalities and (anti-)geographies of awkward connections and ambiguities. Here, pOst/socialist experiences become communicable within trans-territorial, diasporic contexts of movement. POSTOST also refers to pOst-German and pOst-Western contexts, liquefying binaries—not just those of the Cold War.
POSTOST combines artistic research, transdisciplinary, and performative memory work, oral history, and autotheory into publications released in both digital and print formats. Initiated by district * school without center, D’EST, and Archive of Gestures in collaboration with EECLECTIC.[:[
